Computer Aided Design Drafter

Summary:

The CADD Specialist - GPS Model Builder/CAD Operator will be responsible for utilizing Autodesk AEC products to provide support for construction operation needs, preparing monthly as-built updates, reviewing all as-built work for completeness and accuracy, creating design/as-built exhibits, drafting plans/as-built plans, developing 3D utility models using as-built data, and using topographical data to create 3D surfaces. The specialist will also coordinate with survey field crews to make sure they have the most up-to-date files, assist in organizing and maintaining all CAD data, and use Trimble Business Center to create design surfaces for machine control and run volume calculations.

• Create design/as-built exhibits to support and assist project management
• Review all as-built work for completeness and accuracy prior to submitting it for review
• Prepare monthly as-built updates to be turned over to project management
• Draft plans/as-built plans and markups for the purpose of creating construction documents
• Develop 3D utility models using as-built data
• Utilize Autodesk AEC products to support construction operation needs

Requirements:

• Strong attention to detail and ability to review work for completeness and accuracy
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in civil engineering, surveying, or related field
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with 3D modeling and drafting using CAD software
• Knowledge of construction document creation and management
• Proficiency in Autodesk AEC products and Trimble Business Center
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering preferred, but not required

• Minimum of 3 years of experience using ACAD Civil 3D

• Exposure to and working knowledge of software

• Background knowledge in the land development industry

• Competent in Microsoft Office suite of programs
