Job Description

COMMUNITY DIRECTOR

SUMMARY

Responsible for the day-to-day operations of an individual community or group of communities in the same geographic area. Build a strong team(s) with common goals and objectives. Manages residential real estate properties for clients by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate employees. Duties include: participation and oversight of: budgeting, workplace safety, financial reporting and tracking, marketing, operations, and a property’s overall performance as a real estate asset.

JOB DUTIES

  • Hire, train and mentor team members to not only meet individual objectives but to ensure team goals and standards are met on a consistent basis.
  • Become thoroughly familiar with all accounting/reporting procedures related to the multi-family industry.
  • Supervise all on-site personnel both directly and indirectly ensuring all activities and operations are in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement monthly marketing plan
  • Lead your team with the ultimate example of professionalism and dedication to excellent customer service with every resident interaction.
  • Enthusiastically coordinate and implement resident relations/retention programs and activities.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Drives motorized vehicles on or off property for company business purposes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Attends and participates in training as required.

SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE

  • Basic accounting skills to include but not limited to commissions, percentages, and discount calculations.
  • Ability to read, interpret technical procedures, and governmental regulations related to the multifamily industry.
  • Organizational, multi-tasking, communication skills, attention to detail and basic computer skills.
  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, drug screen, and have a valid Driver’s License with no restrictions.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in the multi-family industry including at least two years of experience managing/leading a team of multi-family professionals.
  • Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • CAM / IREM certification is highly preferred.
