Job Description
The Communications Clinical Writer and Presenter should have a solid clinical background with at least 5 years of in-the-field clinical experience. They will be a subject-matter expert on clinical topics and should be able to write in a member friendly tone about emotional wellbeing and daily life challenges. They will produce copy for RFL Communications monthly promotions, core collateral and content library. The Clinical Writer/Presenter will also develop and present live and recorded member webinars and trainings, assist in developing content for and recording podcasts, and present on topics for member communication videos. They will participate and in some cases lead up special communications projects.
They will maintain their clinical licensure from year to year and take trainings to ensure their knowledge is up-to-date. They will work with business constituents to meet communications clinical writing, review and insight needs. They will be knowledgeable of the Aetna/CVS writing standards and guidelines and adhere to them in their writing. They will be knowledgeable of the Aetna/CVS design guidelines and adhere to them in any designed work they participate in.
Some of these tasks include, but are not limited to:
  • Working w/ Account Executives and Plan Sponsors on special communications requests and communications promotions
  • Developing and updating catalog and customized training presentations (includes writing and design in PowerPoint)
  • Presenting live and recorded webinars for members
  • Developing and updating webinar presentations (includes writing and design in PowerPoint)
  • Writing marketing content, including articles, guidebooks, video scripts, podcast outlines, manger newsletter articles, infographics, etc.
  • Participating in the Let’s Talk or other video planning and recording
  • Participating in annual promotional planning and special awareness planning campaigns
  • Presenting trainings to Plan Sponsors as needed
  • Working on marketing requests as they are assigned and connecting with the requestor, as well as collaborating with others on the team and subject-matter-experts to fulfill the need.
  • Participating in the Think Tank or other podcast planning and recording
  • Developing and updating member facing materials on a variety of emotional wellbeing and daily living topics
  • Working on special projects as a clinical communications subject matter expert

5+ years experience in a clinical setting. Excellent consultative and communication skills, analytical ability, decisiveness, strong judgment and the ability to work effectively with clients, other staff and vendors. Master’s degree in social work or other clinical field and license required (LCSW) or Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician (LPC,LMFT, PhD, or Psy.D).
5+ years communications or marketing writing experience required. Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with members, all levels of management and clients. Ability to write at the member-facing level in plain language for all to easily grasp the content. Experience in speaking and writing to mental health issues, family situations, relationship concerns, self-improvement, emotional wellbeing, etc. 3+ years presentation experience preferred (online webinars, in-person presentations/trainings, podcasts, recorded videos, etc.). 2+ years presentation (online webinars, in-person presentations/trainings, podcasts, recorded videos, etc.) experience preferred.
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 60,300
Maximum: 130,000
Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.
Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years presentation experience (virtual or live)
  • 3-5 years - Excellent PowerPoint skills
  • 3-5 years writing and/or marketing experience
  • Clinical license maintained (can include LCSW, CMHC, LPC, LMFT, LMHC, etc.)
  • 5+ years clinical experience/practice

Preferred Qualifications
Proficient skills in Outlook, Word, Excel.
Education
Masters degree in a clinical field
