Clinical Nurse Jobs

Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager at the SFGH Renal Center, Department of Medicine, the incumbent will be responsible for chronic hemodialysis patients. This includes assessment, treatment planning, patient education on hemodialysis and evaluation of outcomes. To accomplish these tasks, the incumbent works directly with patients as an integral member of a multidisciplinary team. The incumbent also actively participates in assisting physicians with medical assessment to ensure dialysis adequacy. Direct patient care includes initiate hemodialysis treatments, administrating medications, education, Lab drawings, and ordering medical supplies.

Please note: The compensation ranges listed online for roles not covered by a bargaining unit agreement are very wide, however a job offer will typically fall in the range of 80% - 120% of the established mid-point. An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role.

For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.

The Nephrology Division spans multiple campuses with faculty and staff located at the UCSF Parnassus, Laurel Heights, San Francisco Veterans Affairs Medical Center (SFVAMC), and Zuckerberg San Francisco General (ZSFG). The Nephrology Division consists of over 100 faculty, fellows, and staff whose work is grounded in deep commitment to, and respect for patients with kidney disease. The Division has approximately 40 faculty members, 15 admin and research staff, 16 fellows, and an annual budget of $11.1 million.
