Research Assistant - Neuroscience And Pharmacology

A Research Assistant position is available for a talented and motivated researcher who can bring computational expertise to our group. Areas of interest focus on single-cell genomic and epigenomic gene regulatory networks, generating data in the form of single cell transcriptomics (sc-RNAseq), translated ribosome affinity purifications (TRAP-seq), spatial transcriptomics (Visium/MERSCOPE) and 3-D immunolabeling-enabled imaging of solvent-cleared brains (iDISCO). This position is primarily computational, with flexibility for occasional wet-lab work.

Duties to Include:

• Process NGS data using the spaceranger pipeline

• Write basic scripts for prototype phenotyping equipment

• Analyze large-dataset electrophysiology data (EEG/EMG)

• Collaborate with the bioinformatics core to develop proprietary analyses for spatial transcriptomics data

• Develop novel workflows to meet the dynamic needs of the lab group

• Participate in the drafting and review of manuscripts
