OVERVEW
We are looking for a Clinical Content Specialist to facilitate our mission to provide both faculty and students with best-in-class educational tools. We are known as innovators in the Nursing Education market and are constantly looking for new and inventive ways to prepare students for entry-level practice. The Clinical Content Specialist will work closely with the Senior Clinical Content Specialists to plan and deliver high quality NCLEX Review and Consultation services by identifying and assessing client needs and developing evidence-based, best practice, content for faculty and students to assist in preparation for the NCLEX and meet Consultation needs.
The Clinical Content Specialist will work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders to provide updates to assessment products and coordinate efforts with the nursing education team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Nursing Education, pedagogy, analysis, and student success. The person will be able to work collaboratively in a team-based approach to achieve goals and have a bias toward action. This candidate should be ready to dive in and understand the current market of Nursing Education and the importance of student success to prepare future nurses for the innovative and dynamic world of nursing.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Clinical Content Specialist's primary responsibilities include:
ReView/PreView
  • Create attendance and evaluation links and send all needed links to the facilitator.
  • Use evidence-based research and best practices in facilitating reviews for clients.
  • Once the facilitator is confirmed connect with the school for assessment of needs.
  • Send HR information to create contract to send to facilitator to include all the pertinent information.
  • Request consultant payment once facilitator sends facilitator event evaluation form.
  • Collaborate with the NCLEX Content Management Consultant/Senor Clinical Content Specialist to schedule PreViews/ReViews to be offered to schools regularly.
  • Facilitate the PreView/ReView or email a facilitator for their availability to facilitate the request event virtual or in person.
  • Design processes to send marketing announcing dates for PreView/ReView planning.
  • Work with the NCLEX Content Management Consultant/Senor Clinical Content Specialist in the continuous development of the NCLEX product.
  • Run evaluations, send to facilitator and NCLEX Content Management Consultant/Senior Clinical Content Specialist and file.
Consultant
  • Seek feedback after the consultation for quality improvement.
  • Identify the timeframe and venue (on campus vs. virtual) for the consultation.
  • Respond to request for consultations in collaboration with the consultation team.
  • Propose an overall agenda for the consultation including general content to be included.
  • Clarify the appropriateness and/or need for ANCC contact hours.
  • Provide feedback to consultants following a consultation.
  • Support the consultant through training, consultation planning and implementation process.
  • Identify the appropriate charge for the consultation based on the priority needs identified.
  • Collaborate to maintain appropriate files for each consultation.
    • Identify the timeframe and venue (on campus vs. virtual) for the consultation.
    • Identify the appropriate charge for the consultation based on the priority needs identified.
    • Propose an overall agenda for the consultation including general content to be included.
    • Clarify the appropriateness and/or need for ANCC contact hours.
Clients
  • Develop training for clients and consultants to ensure the highest quality experience.
  • Develop program and product-centered communications via multiple media platforms for Wolters Kluwer.
  • Follow up with clients responding to questions/concerns from decision makers.
  • Provide information about other Wolters Kluwer products and services that may be relevant based on conversation with the client.
  • Develop and maintain data analysis procedures to help provide clients with the best information possible when promoting student retention and success.
  • Trend information discussed with clients that may be the platform for new products.
  • Collaborate with the nurse educator team to evaluate practices and processes in place.
  • Flexible to work on other product development as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Master’s Degree in Nursing required. Doctoral degree in nursing (PhD or DNS preferred)
Experience:
  • 5+ years’ experience as a RN
  • Required:
    • Active RN licensure (unencumbered) in any U.S. jurisdiction
    • 5+ years teaching experience in an academic nursing program.
    • 5+ years’ experience as a RN
