Required Degree: Graduate degree required, preferably in a field related to Religious Education.
The required degree must be completed by the start date.
Experience: Demonstrate competence in teaching Latter-day Saint scripture, doctrine, and/or history to college-age students.
In a cover letter, candidates should describe their qualifications for-and interest in-teaching the Foundations of the Restoration course and/or the Eternal Family course (and possibly other related courses offered by the department), including academic training, past teaching experience, and other evidence of competency and proficiency for teaching the course(s). Information about course aims and outcomes can be found in the BYU catalog.
Duties/Expectations: Teach assigned classes in Church History & Doctrine (Rel C 225 Foundations of the Restoration; Rel C 200 The Eternal Family; and/or other related Rel C courses); consult with students on course-related matters.
