Utah Valley University is seeking an adjunct faculty to work under administrative direction from the program director, department chairperson, and dean, performing some or all of the following duties.
- Maintain student-centered approach to education,
- Teach undergraduate courses in Human Resource Management, particularly Introduction to Human Resource Management, with the ability to teach other core program courses (e.g. Training and Development, Organizational Development and Change, Strategic Staffing and Performance Management, HR Analytics, International HRM, HR Strategy, HRIS, Compensation and Benefits, HR Strategy, etc.), using experiential education methods.
- Strive to be excellent teachers inside and outside the classroom to our students,
- Prepare new instructional materials (course outlines, syllabi, exams, etc.) as necessary,
- Plan, prepare, and follow an approved course of study that includes measurable objectives for each course taught,
- Evaluate learning outcomes through appropriate assessment methods,
- Are highly responsive to student communication,
- Maintain and submit accurate and current reports and records involving student accountability, attendance, performance, and follow-up,
- Maintain a safe (physically, emotionally) learning environment for our students.

Graduation from an institution with a master degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a closely related fired, and significant HR industry experience.
- Knowledge of and demonstrated competence in professional human resource management practices and applications required
- Evidence of potential for facilitating community-engaged experiential learning class projects and engaged learning experiences for students, consistent with a teaching university desired
- Ability to generate, integrate, and facilitate real-life HRM student projects aligned with a community organization (e.g. for-profit business, non-profit, government agency, etc.) desired
- Demonstrate the ability to teach a spectrum of HR related courses
- Evidence of well-developed, collegial, and collaborative communication skills required,
- Ability and willingness to provide expert classroom instruction, curriculum development, and program assessment desired
- Demonstrated skills and experience in educating undergraduate students or as corporate/professional trainer desired
- Knowledge and skill in current instructional theories, strategies, techniques, and discipline content desired
- Skilled in establishing and providing support for high-quality community-engaged experiential learning projects desired
