The Company

A multi-billion-dollar PE firm, known for investing in the world's leading renewable energy companies and portfolios.

They are searching for a Chief Investment Officer to play a pivotal role in building their new investment division focusing on international renewable energy markets.


The Role

  • Leading complex negotiations, structuring, and execution of transactions.
  • Develop and execute the investment strategy on a global level.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships including their global stakeholders, portfolio companies, and industry influencers, providing strategic support and guidance.
  • Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory shifts, and industry developments to shape strategic decision-making.
  • Reporting to the CEO.
  • Leading corporate and portfolio acquisitions end-to-end globally (from origination to exit strategies).
  • Challenging and approving investment opportunities brought by the investment team.
  • Building, developing, and leading a high-performing local and international investment team.


The Person

The successful candidate will likely have:

  • 10+ years’ work experience in Private Equity, Investment Management, or M&A of renewable energy assets.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading renewable energy investments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business administration, or other related.
  • Entrepreneurial, organized, ambitious, quality-oriented, striving for absolute excellence.
  • High analytical-conceptual thinking ability with strong experiences in building and developing long-lasting partnerships, leading, and inspiring teams, negotiating, and risk management.
