Chief Building Engineer

NAI Merin Hunter Codman, one of South Florida’s leading privately owned commercial
real estate firms, seeks experienced Chief Building Engineer.

Location: South Florida (Broward County)

Building Type: Office

Experience: Minimum 10 years in commercial property management

Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred, professional certifications
(HVAC, ASME, EPA) a plus

The Chief Engineer will be responsible for daily, hands-on management of
commercial office buildings including:

• Ability to lead, organize and monitor Engineering Team performance and schedule.
• Possess in-depth knowledge of all mechanical systems, mechanical controls,

critical systems, electrical systems, plumbing systems and related systems.

• Perform repairs as necessary.
• Be responsible for the supervision of Fire/Life Safety control within the property.
• Oversee the performance of repairs to electrical and plumbing systems.
• Monitor operation and maintain air conditioning equipment, pumps, valves, piping

and other equipment.

• Secure/contain area, assess cause and extent of damage, take appropriate actions,
