Clear Measure is a software architecture company that empowers client software teams to be highly effective: establishing high quality, achieving software stability in production, and increasing delivery speed. More and more companies are deciding to build custom software in-house rather than outsourcing to consulting companies or dev shops. Our goal for every client is for them to have a world-class internal custom software competency. Through our Clear Measure Way for effective software teams, we guide our clients on their journey from wherever they are to one of effectiveness. We start with advisement, helping them see what practices they are missing. Then we assist in adopting modern engineering practices including test automation, continuous integration and DevOps automation. Our customers build on the Microsoft platform, so we go deep in .NET, SQL Server, Azure, and other complimentary products like Octopus Deploy. Through this focus, we write a lot of code, service a lot of Azure, and help a lot of developers. Our work is not done until the executives of the client are completely satisfied with the delivered quality, stability, and speed of their in-house team. And then, we stand with them as they succeed, delivering project after project with our guidance, advice, and help.
In This Job, You Will

• Secure long-term client relationships by guiding them along the Clear Measure Way journey to software team effectiveness.
• Perform new client consultations, prepare & present proposals, and negotiate terms of service for contracts.
• Deliver on-target gross margin across assigned clients.
• Deliver educational material to the market in the form of webinars, videos, code samples and otherwise serve as an expert participant in marketing campaigns.

• Humble, generally nice person, servant attitude, earning the trust of clients and everyone you meet
• Expert knowledge of software architecture and DevOps as it relates to the Microsoft platform.
• Grounded in reality, able to see what is going on even amid confusion or ambiguity
• You can effectively translate software engineering principles into addressing the needs of a business between business stakeholders and development teams
• You are a passionate, voracious continuous learner. You naturally have kept up with the latest trends, technologies and tools in the industry
• Continuous professional networking
• You naturally find yourself teaching others (blogging, speaking, mentoring, giving advice, etc)
• You want the best thing for the client, even if the best thing is to bring in other help.
• Has experience supervising, guiding, or mentoring developers

Requirements

• Ability to develops strong relationships with business leaders
• Collaboration and Negotiation skills
• Current or former Microsoft MVP, user group leader, conference speaker, or author.
• Advanced understanding of business systems and industry requirements
• Excellent communication and influential skills
• Leadership positions directly managing multiple software teams
• Experience working on business problems that are complex and diverse in scope
• Executive leadership reporting to C-suite executives
• Hands-on architectural and engineering experience with Microsoft technologies
