CFO Job description

Premier boutique real estate owner, manager, and developer seek a CFO to join their team. Multigenerational firm with expertise in office, residential, and hospitality properties. located in Westchester County, the firm offers a “family” like environment made up of professionals with expertise in real estate investment, management, development, and construction. The firm takes pride in its projects and involvement in the communities in which it conducts business.

Responsibilities include the oversight of all accounting department functions, including but not limited to monthly financial reporting, Annual GAAP Financials (with outside CPA). Setting up and maintaining policies and procedures to enhance internal controls. Cash Flow management and reporting. In addition, hands-on participation in the development function including, projections, financing, equity raising, and other financial components.

This position is a full-time in-office position located in Westchester County and does not include flex-time or a hybrid work arrangement.

Responsibilities and oversight

• Participate (with Project Managers) in the preparation of Project cash flow reports
• Timely Month-end and Year-end close
• Provide KPI’s
• Additional ad hoc financial and managerial requirements
• Oversee company insurance programs
• Liaise with CPA Firm, Bankers, third-party management companies, and other outside professionals
• Monthly bank reconciliations
• Manage payroll
• Financial modeling of proposed commercial real estate and hospitality transactions including projections
• Cash Flow management and reporting
• Processing of construction payment applications and lender requisitions
• Prepare management reports monthly
• Manage and maintain general ledger and job cost system
• Percentage of Completion WIP reporting

Requirements

• Experience with Excel and Argus financial modeling programs and functions
• Minimum 10+ years of increasing responsibility in a real estate and/or construction company.
• Experience with M3 and Yardi; some experience with Skyline and Procore a plus
• Degree in Accounting required, CPA a plus.

Compensation
