Position Summary & Responsibilities

Kansas Department for Children and Families (DCF) is searching for the ideal person to serve as the project manager to represent child and family well-being programs, and work alongside DCF staff, Information Technology Services and external vendors, with the design, development, and deployment of a comprehensive information system for the agency’s prevention and protection department. The program – Kansas Comprehensive Child Welfare Information System (CCWIS) – will replace a legacy system that has been in place since 1995!

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who has good organization skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal communication skills, who is also driven to support children and families in Kansas.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications: Three years of experience in collecting, evaluating, studying, or reporting on statistical, economic, fiscal/budget, legislative or administrative data. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.
  • Post-Offer, Pre-employment Requirements: Security Clearance: A background check (KBI - criminal background, welfare fraud, driver's license and Child/Adult Abuse and Neglect Central Registry) is required for all positions with the Department for Children and Families (DCF) as a condition of employment, which may include fingerprinting and FBI check. Security clearance must be obtained prior to employment with DCF.
