Category Manager Jobs

Our client, currently owned by a national healthcare GPO and backed by the largest health care system in the country, is seeking a Category Manager to join their strategic sourcing/private label division in Nashville, TN.

This newly generated position will have responsibilities working within a close knit team spearheading exponential growth and establishing national recognition within healthcare supply chain management. Within the last five years, our client has seen nearly exponential growth and is seeking to solidify and expand their reputation of supply chain excellence within healthcare through this opportunity.

The Category Manager will have true strategic sourcing functionality within a given medical category at a national and global scale. This opportunity provides significant international sourcing experiences, clear vertical growth opportunities, and a chance to take ownership within a particular medical product category.

Qualifications include...

• Ability to conduct buy-to-buy and make-to-buy analysis with a strong understanding of how a product is made, manufactured, and supplied to market
• Previous direct procurement experience as a category manager (ideally, a professional background within aerospace, medical device, pharmaceutical, or healthcare)
• International strategic sourcing experience and/or healthcare experienced preferred but not required
• Engineering or Business undergraduate degree
• Ability to travel internationally 20-25%
• Strong critical thinking, negotiation, and problem-solving skills required
