About the role
The Category Manager – Hardware & Resellers will lead the sourcing / supplier management activities for IT Hardware in support of Company’s CIO organization and technology-focused business areas. These areas include Company’s hardware for Datacenters, employees purchased direct and through resellers. This role will also manage reseller relationships, streamlining, develop punchout catalogues & channels globally.
How you’ll make your mark
Reporting to the Senior Director of Infrastructure Software Sourcing and Procurement, you will be responsible for developing and/or strengthening relationships among the strategic sourcing organization, the CIO organization, and other technology focused business areas. Key responsibilities include:
- Ability to present commercial deals and financial results to senior members of the company, creating the collaboration material accordingly
- Demonstrable expertise in IT related strategic sourcing and procurement, with complex project management skills, with progressive view of IT management including analyzing the total value chain
- Run projects to consolidate resellers across geographies and work with Sourcing Process teams to refine and modernize catalog buying
- Deep experience in IT Infra, Network areas with ability to negotiate terms and apply industry knowledge to the sourcing strategy
- Negotiate commercial terms and conditions associated with Large IT Infrastructure providers, contract renewals, etc
- Work with key stakeholders to develop and ensure implementation of continuous saving ideas that will reduce Company’s total cost of ownership. Utilize procurement technologies and systems to further productivity Monitoring savings and defining budgetary impact
- Support legal in finalizing and executing contracts

- Advanced degree (MBA preferred) in areas such as Procurement, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering or Computer Science - CPM certification preferred
- Negotiate with suppliers at C-level and ability to influence and get the best possible commercial and legal terms
- Execute sourcing activities based on stakeholder requirements, running all Procurement Activities associated with Procurement requests and RF(x) activities
- Keep abreast of technology trends in the Hardware Compute, Storage, Servers, Laptops, Network devices, as well as overall Technology trends to drive efficiencies in current and future contracts
- Deep experience in IT Infra, Network areas with ability to negotiate terms and apply industry knowledge to the sourcing strategy
