Job Description
Investigations Case Manager, People Relations
EA Open to remote – North America
Most companies call it Employee Relations. At Electronic Arts we made the deliberate decision to brand our department People Relations. This centralized and remote group of professionals serves as an impartial, internal resource to review and address employee concerns to ensure alignment with EA’s policies and commitment to provide an ethical and inclusive work environment.
We are looking for a People Relations investigation expert to support our North American region, who excels at navigating complex concerns of retaliation, discrimination, bullying, harassment, and other workplace conflicts. You must have a desire to provide a positive employee experience during investigations and facilitate successful workplace restoration.
Responsibilities
  • Advise People Experience partners on interventions to address workplace concerns, de-escalate conflict, and create customized workplace restoration strategies following an investigation to provide lasting resolution.
  • Prepare and facilitate training and other consultative materials to enhance employee relations skill set among People Experience partners and People Managers.
  • Analyze witness accounts and documentary evidence, update team case management system, maintain accurate notes, prepare in-depth case reports, and draft executive summaries.
  • Partner with EA’s Legal department and People Experience (HR) throughout the investigative process and share case insights and recommendations for resolution that incorporate local legislation/regulations, company policies, and EA values.
  • Maintain trust in PR’s process by upholding confidentiality, ensuring employees feel heard, providing appropriate follow up, and setting clear expectations with employees on the scope and purpose of the investigation.
  • Identify case trends and work with the People & Policy Excellence team on proactive policy implementation that manages risk and reflects company culture.
  • Recommend process enhancements to increase PR efficacy and support the continued creation of best-in-class COE.
  • Promptly, objectively, and thoroughly investigate and resolve sensitive employee concerns and escalated conflicts.
Required Qualifications
  • You have advanced writing and communication skills with experience issue spotting, preparing investigation reports, and providing constructive feedback.
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field.
  • You have expertise with difficult conversations, including maintaining composure and demonstrating empathy while achieving productive resolution.
  • Experience preparing position statements or other legal documents is beneficial.
  • 5+ years of experience investigating and/or advising on complex employment law-related matters.
  • You are able to navigate ambiguity, implement solutions and maintain effective relationships with multiple stakeholders at all stages of the investigation process.
  • You have experience conducting investigations related to allegations of discrimination, harassment and retaliation and other policy violations.
  • Knowledge and application of relevant HR best practices, employment law standards and workplace investigative protocols.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • You have a genuine desire to provide and promote a fair and positive experience and inclusive culture.
  • Experience supporting multiple sites is beneficial.
  • Other qualifications
  • You have enthusiasm and interest in participating in the continued building of newer COE.
  • You are proficient using data to identify insights that guide action.
