Junior People Relations Specialist Jobs

8+ years of related experience w/Bachelor's degree; 1+ years supervisory/management

3+ years of supervisor/ management experience preferred

Represents the organization in grievances and arbitration, working to effectively resolve disputes between union-represented employees and management

Develops, manages and maintains effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders including leadership at all levels, legal counsel and union representatives

Ensures accurate, thorough and timely service delivery in compliance with company practices and legislative requirements

Expert communication skills, both written and verbal; particularly successful in listening and understanding various points of view

Experience handling executive escalations, and overseeing multiple parties dedicated to performance management, and / or investigations.

Certification in crisis management, risk mitigation, conflict resolution, or leadership coaching.

Lead and manage a team of seasoned Employee Relations Professionals, providing guidance, support, and coaching.

Proven experience of a minimum of 6+ years handling Workplace Investigations full time.

Proven ability to manage varying volume of cases, and prioritize these matters by content.

Experience pivoting priorities with short notice and managing multiple risk related situations at one time

Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law

At least 3-5 years of progressive human resource management experience

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

Partners with employees and management to communicate various Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations

Conducts exit interviews and analyzes data and makes recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement

Liaises with employees, management and HR on all leave, worker’s compensation, and reasonable accommodation issues

Prepare and facilitate training and other consultative materials to enhance employee relations skill set among People Experience partners and People Managers.

You have advanced writing and communication skills with experience issue spotting, preparing investigation reports, and providing constructive feedback.

You have experience conducting investigations related to allegations of discrimination, harassment and retaliation and other policy violations.

You have a genuine desire to provide and promote a fair and positive experience and inclusive culture.

Experience preparing position statements or other legal documents is beneficial.

5+ years of experience investigating and/or advising on complex employment law-related matters.

Prepare and facilitate training and other consultative materials to enhance employee relations skill set among People Experience partners and People Managers.
