You'll have the opportunity to work on-site and make meaningful connections with our human services clients.

As a Career Advisor, you'll enjoy a competitive wage of $38,000 to $40,000. WHAT'S YOUR DAY LIKE?

As a Career Advisor At Fedcap, Inc. you get to lead a computer lab with a diverse group of 10-30 participants, helping them navigate their job search journey. Not only do you administer the TABE test, but you also have the chance to develop and deliver a job search curriculum, perfect resumes, and assist with interview preparation. You're responsible for supervising participants during their job search, as well as tracking their progress and attendance.

Furthermore, you get to use your problem-solving skills and empathy to help participants overcome any barriers they may face during their job search. This may include providing participants with metro cards or providing resources and referrals for services such as childcare, clothing, or food assistance. You find yourself working in a fulfilling social work environment, where every day is a chance to make a difference!

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR IN A CAREER ADVISOR?


n

  • Four-year college degree in human services, social work, education, or other work-related experience


n


  • Ability to deliver specific curriculum, differentiate instruction, and lead groups


n


  • Superior communication skills (verbal and written)


n


  • Experience or a demonstrated desire to work with the economically disadvantaged, homeless, or public assistance recipients' populations


n


  • Ability to meet deadlines, juggle multiple priorities, and excel in a team environment
