PPCCC is a trusted provider of high-quality, affordable reproductive health care along California’s Central Coast. Each year, PPCCC provides 35,000 people on the central coast with health care services; including sexually transmitted infection testing and treatment, birth control, breast and cervical cancer screenings, vasectomies, and safe and legal abortion care at our six health center locations. PPCCC also provides comprehensive sexuality education programs to help adults and teens make healthy decisions, prevent unintended pregnancies, and avoid sexually transmitted infection.

JOB SUMMARY:
To provide excellent Customer Service to both external and internal clients, answer a high volume of calls, schedule appointments for all Centers, provide support to Centers, and provide general agency or program information.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Answer a high volume of calls and schedule appointments for clients (to include on-line requests via DocASAP) with a high degree of accuracy.
Must be courteous and professional at all times to ensure patient satisfaction.
Maintain a sensitive and warm demeanor with all callers.
Be well versed on PPCCC patient care-related services including the options for abortion services.
Be knowledgeable in CA minor reproductive Laws/mandated reporting requirements.
Be knowledgeable and well versed on different funding sources such as family pact, Medi-Cal, Private insurance, CenCal, etc.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
English-Spanish bilingual skills is required
Must talk to patients in a caring and non-judgmental manner.
Possess a warm, caring manner.
Ability to relate to diverse communities.
Ability to read and implement written instructions.
Valid California Driver’s license and appropriate insurance.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Effective and polite communication skills / Excellent Customer Service Skills.
Ability to type and/or work with computers.
Efficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and able to navigate the internet.
One year proven Customer Service experience/health care background preferred.

Planned Parenthood California Central Coast’s (PPCCC’s) compensation philosophy supports the organization’s mission, vision, and values. Each position has a salary based on market value and the organization’s pay levels. The starting salary for this position is 19.20/hour with the opportunity for advancement. As part of our commitment to pay equity, PPCCC does not negotiate salaries.
Pay Differential: $0.50/hour bilingual Spanish/English differential pay is offered upon passing the language assessment test.
