Job Description
Cage Assistant Supervisor $500 Bonus Aquarius (Laughlin, NV) Description:
Summary
Responsible for leading assigned employees in the successful completion of assigned tasks, projects, and job duties. Perform all Cage Cashier duties which include, but are not limited to: Make change, cash checks, and sort coins. Operate computer systems to process and verify guest credit and check-cashing activity as well as exchanging chips, tokens, and promotional items for cash.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations
  • Report any monetary or procedural discrepancy to the Cage Manager in a timely manner
  • Act as a liaison, as necessary, between line staff and departmental leadership to ensure leadership is aware of any challenges with job performance, staffing levels, and/or job tasks
  • Monitor and review the accuracy of transactions involving casino gaming chips, coin, currency, patron’s checks, casino credit, forms, keys and records relating to the casino cage and pit
  • Provide direction to assigned staff and oversee projects assigned to staff
  • Maintain and complete various gaming and company forms and reports
  • Issue and receive funds for chips, tokens, checks, coins and promotional items purchased or won in the casino
  • Operate computer, coin sorter, money sorter, office equipment, telephone, and key control system
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Balance assigned funds and maintain an organized workstation
  • Issues necessary operating funds to other departments
  • Assist with training and developing department staff, as assigned
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations
  • Address any escalated situations that may arise with guests
  • Provide outstanding customer service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow employees
Requirements
Qualifications
  • Ability to accurately add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • Able to efficiently write routine reports and correspondence
  • Able to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal
  • Verify right to work in the United States
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations
  • Ability to accurately process data using a computer and 10-key
  • Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
  • 1 year of previous experience working in high volume, fast-paced cashiering environment
  • Prior experience working in a team or group environment in a leadership role
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
