Job Details


We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic individual to join our team as the Vice President of Operations for our General Contractor serving Fortune 500 Companies in the Construction industry. As a leader in the field, we specialize in providing turnkey solutions for commercial construction projects, with a focus on ground-up developments and tenant improvements. This is a permanent position with a chance to help grow our Arizona office into our new headquarters.


Responsibilities


  • Construction and Preconstruction Your expertise in commercial construction and preconstruction will be invaluable in overseeing the planning, design, and execution of our projects. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop comprehensive construction plans and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Leadership As the Vice President of Operations, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership to our operations team. You will oversee all aspects of our construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Business Development With your extensive experience in the industry, you will play a key role in driving business development efforts. You will identify and pursue new opportunities, build and maintain relationships with Fortune 500 companies, and collaborate with our executive team to develop and implement growth strategies.
  • Operations Management You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our company, including project planning, resource allocation, and risk management. You will work closely with our project managers, estimators, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution and timely delivery.
  • Financial Management As the Vice President of Operations, you will work closely with our Controller to monitor project budgets, control costs, and maximize profitability. You will review financial reports, analyze project performance, and implement strategies to improve financial efficiency.


Qualifications


  • Results-Oriented Mindset The successful candidate will be highly motivated, results-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional outcomes. You should have a proven ability to drive operational excellence, meet project deadlines, and exceed client expectations.
  • Executive Level Experience Previous experience in executive-level roles such as President, Executive Vice President, or Assistant Vice President is highly desirable. You should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Leadership Experience The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 20 years of managerial experience in the construction industry, with a proven track record of leading successful teams and delivering complex projects.
  • Construction Knowledge A strong understanding of commercial construction processes, including ground-up developments and tenant improvements, is essential. You should have experience in estimating, project planning, and executing construction projects of varying sizes and complexities.
  • Business Development Expertise You should have at least 15 years of experience in business development, with a focus on commercial construction from the ground up to the full cycle. Your ability to identify and capitalize on new opportunities will be crucial to our growth.
