Business/Marketing Intern Jobs

Internship (Class Credit, Unpaid):

August 2023 - December 2023 (15 hours a week)

Little House of Flowers is on the lookout for an energetic and fun individual with a passion for business and an eye for design.Interns will be included in all aspects of building a successful business - accounting, business development, lead generation, and all the practical aspects of small business operations. Thisinternship will also provide an opportunity to learn the basics of the floral industry and floral design. Our goals forinterns are twofold: to grow as individuals, professionally and personally; and to experience being part of a growing small business celebrating the accomplishments and taking on the challenges - real-life entrepreneur experience.

Responsibilities:

Assist in accounting - revenue, tracking expenses, etc. (Quickbooks experience a plus)

Database development

Develop and post content to various social media outlets

Assist with sales calls and vendor relations

Sales and marketing visits to local businesses

Marketing materials development

Assist with floral processing

Customer service

Community relations

Assist in floral builds creating bouquets, floral arrangements.

Website updates and maintenance

Assist in the day-to-day duties involved in running a flower shop

Desired Skills & Experience:

Friendly, honest, reliable with a positive attitude

Interested in business and becoming an entrepreneur

Ability to work as part of a professional team

High-energy, self-managing, and self-starter personality

Strong multi-tasking, organizational, and time management skills

Must be available on some weekends
