About Kate Farms
Kate Farms is a company with heart. Our company was founded on the belief that good nutrition leads to good health, and good health opens the door to endless possibilities. That’s why our mission is to make nutrition the cornerstone of healthcare, so people can live their best lives. We are a medical food company that makes complete nutrition formulas for people who have a medical need for liquid nutrition.
Kate Farms works to be the place where a diverse mix of talented individuals want to come, to stay, and do their best work. Ensuring a diverse and inclusive workplace where we learn from each other is core to Kate Farms’ values. We are an equal opportunity employer and fully focused on equality; we believe deeply in diversity of race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, national origin, and all the other fascinating characteristics that make us different. We invite you to come do the best work of your life with us at Kate Farms.
Position Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated intern to join the marketing department. This is a temporary position, and you will get to work closely with our Director of Medical Marketing and the Marketing department to launch a discharge/continuum of care tool that will bridge the gap between nutrition care from hospital to home.
You will have an opportunity to work with multiple departments to gain skills across a number of disciplines. The internship will offer you the chance to gain hands-on experience with the daily operations of a growing business, collaborate with professionals in a cross-functional capacity, and build our marketing Department practice and process.
This is a full-time internship – with up to 40 hours per week for the summer of 2023.
PROJECTS AND TASKS
  • Work with the marketing team to develop and execute the delivery of a discharge/continuum of care tool that will solve challenges of hospital staff and patients and families discharged from the hospital on Kate Farms Pediatric Products. This initiative will target pediatric patients, families, and the staff that discharges them.
  • There may also be a component of supporting product launch tactics.
  • There will also be a component of marketing admin in this role that could involve calendar and meeting management, building agendas for meetings, and sending pre-reads.
  • In this project, you would work with the project lead on the development of a project timeline, development of a tool to measure kit utilization, source and secure items for the kit (stickers, the box, other collateral), work with the project lead on the development of briefs for agencies to work on the creative aspects of the kit and evaluate that work, work with the project lead to determine kit COGS and ROI of the kit and work with our digital team to develop and test a secure landing page for kit recipients to redeem a product sample along with other items.
  • This will involve the complete throughput of developing the discharge program with the project lead and working closely with other stakeholders at Kate Farms, which will include a box or package (the kit) to deliver items to the patients and families. The kit may contain items such as patient education, kid-friendly activities such as coloring books, partner organization coupons, stickers, Kate Farms branded items pertaining to formula access, a parent/patient empowerment letter, and an at home tube-feeding guide. The kit would also include a coupon from Kate Farms to redeem for a sample and other high value items sent to their home, if feasible. There could be more things in the kit as determined by market research.
Minimum Job Requirements
  • Team player with a cooperative spirit
  • High School Diploma and ideally pursuing a college degree
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Organized, dependable, and detail oriented
  • Strong desire to learn along with professional drive
  • Ability to multi-task and take initiative
  • A great attitude towards getting things done: Be willing to roll up your sleeves and do what is necessary – results driven personality
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
Ensuring a diverse and inclusive workplace where we learn from each other is core to Kate Farms’ values. We welcome people of different backgrounds, experiences, abilities, and perspectives. We are an equal opportunity employer and a pleasant and supportive place to work. Come do the best work of your life here at Kate Farms.
