Job Title: Business Systems Analyst
Location: Columbus, OH (hybrid)
Job Summary:
Heitmeyer Consulting is looking to hire a Business Systems Analyst for a contract-to-hire opportunity with one of our financial services clients in Columbus, OH. The selected candidate for this role will be a part of a team to create and document requirements for business partners to leverage during project work. Our client is looking for someone with 2+ years of experience as a BSA and moderate SQL skills. The individual in this role must be comfortable collaborating with business stakeholders to achieve mutually agreed upon goals.
Job Responsibilities:

• Strong understanding of the project life cycle but is flexible to pivot to iterative delivery based on demand.
• Participates in the identification, quantification and mitigation of project risks and issues.
• Participates in the review and/or approval of key project deliverables (e.g., Design and Test Plans) and ensures traceability to the approved Scope and Requirements.
• Perform analysis of business issues, provide recommendations for possible solutions, work with Business users and IT project teams to drive decision making and define requirements for application development, ensuring that business needs and IT controls are being met.

Job Qualifications:

• Exceptional problem solving and strategic thinking skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to appropriately prioritize and plan complex tasks in a rapidly changing environment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• 2+ years of experience in business analyst or related experience of product and/or software development.
• Proven ability to analyze data and develop quick decisions.
• Project planning and management, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in banking or financial services industry.
