Your role at Clorox:

The Business Quality Manager is responsible for supporting our Foods Business Unit. This role provides strategic leadership for Quality Management as a member of the Foods Supply Chain Leadership Team. This role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, associated standards, policies, and procedures. This role will also have an expectation to build a strong quality culture for this business by focusing on continuous improvement and waste elimination initiatives.


In this role, you will:

Strategic Leadership

  • Participates in the training, recruiting, career planning, skill development, and any other activity that develops the organization.
  • Implements and manages Clorox Quality Systems: Supplier quality, customer, and consumer complaint process.
  • Provides strategic leadership as a Member of the Foods Supply Chain Leadership Team and the Global Quality Assurance Team to include functional vision to help develop/execute quality journey milestones for the function as well as the Business Unit.
  • Identifies key leverage points within organization to drive quality improvements.
  • Lead processes to improve product design and supply quality, by establishing credibility with business management team.


People Management & Development

  • Develops and maintains an organization of diverse and high performing enthusiastic owners.
  • Develops the skills and capabilities of the team to better support the needs of our Foods business along with developing the skills needed for their future career desires.
  • Provides leadership and development to a team of Quality professionals.


Ensure Quality across Operations

  • Work closely with Supply Chain / R&D to ensure standards and specifications are up to date and accurate, and that quality expectations are understood at plants, suppliers, and contract manufacturing facilities.
  • Implement appropriate critical quality elements by location to meet needs of regulatory agencies, business, customers, and consumers.
  • Ensure quality specifications are set based on consumer needs, and technical and manufacturing capability.
  • Perform quality systems gap analysis of key manufacturing sites, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Monitors quality metrics across supply chain.
  • Serve as key point of contact and leader for business regarding quality issues, including customer withdrawal and potential recall issues.


Drive Business results through focus on Quality

  • Through the Supply Chain Leadership Team, identify and drive opportunities to make meaningful improvement to customer/consumer experience as well as ensure product commercialization process is effective and efficient when driving business growth.


Drive Continuous Improvement

  • Proactively identifying and leading improvement projects to drive improved capability, eliminate waste, and increase team performance.
  • Helps identify, develop, and implement process and system improvements.
  • Advances the functions technical knowledge and links with experts within the field.

  • Exceptional coaching and development skills: Possess the ability to nurture and develop individuals effectively.
  • Highly Flexible and Adaptable. Able to work independently in a fast paced multitasking environment.
  • 8+ years’ experience in leading or managing quality systems in regulated and non-regulated spaces. (ie, ASQ certification, past experience),
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience), MBA is highly preferred
  • 10+ years of professional experience with Food products in areas of Quality Management or Manufacturing Operations.

We use broad salary ranges that reflect the competitive market for similar jobs, provide sufficient opportunity for growth as you gain experience and expand responsibilities, while also allowing for differentiation based on performance. Based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at Clorox in the first half of the applicable range. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.


–Zone A: $116,700 - $229,800

–Zone B: $107,000 - $210,700

–Zone C: $97,200 - $191,500

This job is also eligible for participation in Clorox’s incentive plans, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and policies.
