Job Description


Job title: Business Operations Manager


Job statement: The Business Operations Manager’s role is to improve workflows for existing processes, create actionable SOPs to achieve emerging company objectives, and develop training materials and analytic tools for various processes. You will be wearing multiple hats, reporting to C-level executives on one end and engaging in detailed discussion with stakeholders, and hands-on execution on the other end.


Location: Santa Barbara, CA. On-site only.

Aptitude’s offices are in Santa Barbara, California – an idyllic location offering immense natural beauty, outdoor adventure, big city amenities in a mid-sized town, and easy access to California’s metropolitan centers. The position may entail occasional travel to supplier or vendor locations and working outside of regular business hours to manage supply chain disruptions or emergencies.


Responsibilities


  • This role is an on-site, full-time, and exempt position.
  • Understand high-level objectives from company executives, break down objectives into actionable projects.
  • Generate reports and monitor for deviations, implement corrective measures, report outcome to company executives.
  • Build and implement best practices, develop training procedures, provide support and oversight.
  • Manage emerging projects and contribute to key strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with different departments to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to streamline processes.


Qualifications


  • Previous experience managing a cross-function team to accomplish an overarching goal.
  • Successful track record of implementing new processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Positive attitude, versatility, and willingness to work with constantly changing priorities.
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience, with a proven track record of success.
