Power BI, Business Analyst

• Compensation: $85-95K plus excellent benefits package
• Hybrid schedule: 1-2 days per week in Portland office, 3-4 days per week working remote

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Power BI Business Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in understanding and documenting business challenges and developing technical solutions. As the liaison among internal business and technical stakeholders, the Power BI Business Analyst will analyze, document, communicate and validate business and system requirements for platform applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure that data is being collected and stored in a way that is optimized for reporting and analytics purposes.
• Develop and maintain data models in Power BI to support business intelligence and analytics needs.
• Ensure the cleanliness of master data and provide opportunities for training and drive efficiencies.
• Adopt best practices in reporting and analysis, including data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation.
• Maintain data warehouse and analytical services with third-party services.
• Manage the day-to-day functions of data refresh and export jobs.
• Develop and implement complex MS Power BI dashboards, visualizations, workspaces, and analytics to address business reporting needs and requirements.
• Maintain regular and dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to resolve data discrepancies and issues.

Qualifications:

• Experience developing complex SQL scripts or stored procedures.
• Proficiency in SQL.
• Ability to learn quickly and creatively solve new problems.
• 3+ years of experience developing, implementing, and maintaining complex MS Power BI dashboards, visualizations, workspaces, and analytics.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related technical field preferred.
• Extremely organized with great attention to detail.
• Knowledge of report building in SSRS a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of Tabular Editor and SSAS a plus.
• Excellent management skills with the ability to lead, facilitate, motivate, and organize.
• 3+ years developing business intelligence solutions.
• Ability to collaborate as a team player.
• Proficiency with Power BI.
