Position: Business Development Manager


Position Summary


The Business Development Manager helps strategically build dynamic relationships within the referring community to appropriately drive business to OrthoArizona; achieving an increase in new patients, revenue and overall market share growth.


Duties And Responsibilities


Implement and manage growth strategies for One OrthoArizona gaining competitive market advantage. Driving sustainable financial growth through boosting referrals and forging strong relationships with the referring community.
  • Develop and manage assigned service lines.
  • Conflict resolution.
  • Provide recommendation for marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness within the community.
  • Identify or propose potential business opportunities including new referral sources.
  • Manage and analyze assigned business development data.
  • Coordinates community speaking engagements for physicians (hospitals, community gatherings, forums, luncheons, etc).
  • Participates in community events (internal, organization, charity, etc.).
  • Act as a liaison between practice providers, patient relations and referral sources.
  • Manage central referral department employees.
  • Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs.
  • Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.
  • Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
  • Maintain or excel at any monthly, quarterly, annual job related goals.
  • Create and deliver formal presentations.
  • Enhances organization’s reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
  • Track and report on referral activity to the practice and communicate referral trends.
  • Work with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs.
  • Establish and manage a consistent call cycle to maximize referral return.
  • Establish and manage relationships within the community on behalf of OrthoArizona.
  • Strategize with management and/or physicians to develop corrective action.
  • Liaise with referral sources to identify procedural or behavioral issues that inhibit referrals.
  • Demonstrate planning and organizational skills.
  • Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Healthcare industry knowledge and experience.
  • 3-5 years of appropriate experience in marketing, public relations and communications.
  • Arizona market knowledge
