A leading healthcare organization specializing in post-acute care, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Director to join our team in San Antonio. As the Business Development Director, you will be responsible for driving business growth, generating patient referrals, and managing a team of direct reports consisting of 11 Rehab Liaisons and 3 Admissions Liaisons. This is an exceptional opportunity to make a significant impact on the organization's expansion and success.


Responsibilities


Business Development Strategy


Develop and execute strategic plans to expand the organization's market presence and increase patient referrals.


Identify and capitalize on business opportunities in the post-acute care, home health, and hospice sectors.


Collaborate with key stakeholders, including the Chief Nursing Officer and Director of Therapy, to align business development efforts with organizational goals.


Team Management and Leadership


Lead a team of 11 to 12 Rehab Liaisons and 3 Admissions Liaisons, providing guidance, support, and accountability.


Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment, ensuring effective communication and coordination.


Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular evaluations, and provide coaching and development opportunities to drive success.


Territory Management


Oversee a large territory, one of the largest Business Development Departments in the Southwest region.


Utilize your in-depth knowledge of the San Antonio market to identify referral sources, build relationships, and generate patient referrals.


Develop and maintain a strong network of healthcare professionals, organizations, and community resources to drive business growth.


Sales Achievement and Revenue Generation


Drive revenue growth by increasing patient referrals, expanding partnerships, and securing new accounts.


Demonstrate a track record of sales achievements, such as exceeding revenue targets, adding new accounts, and achieving high sales quotas.


Use your expertise in sales and business development to identify opportunities, negotiate contracts, and foster long-term relationships.


Data Analysis and Reporting


Collect and analyze data related to market trends, competition, and referral patterns to inform strategic decision-making.


Provide regular reports to management, highlighting sales performance, market insights, and recommendations for improvement.


Ideal Qualifications


Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).


Proven experience in business development, sales, or marketing roles within the healthcare industry, specifically in post-acute care, home health, or hospice.


Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team towards achieving sales targets and business goals.


In-depth knowledge of the San Antonio market, including a robust network of healthcare professionals and referral sources.


Demonstrated success in generating patient referrals, expanding partnerships, and driving revenue growth.


Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.


Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.


High level of drive, initiative, and a sense of urgency to meet and exceed business objectives.
