Job Description
Responsible for leveraging a variety of data platforms and analytical tools to assess and convert data into actionable business insights. Builds tools to automate reporting and generate insights allowing clients to quickly and accurately see how WFM stores, regions, products and processes are performing. Uses data to influence business and retail decisions across the company. Identifies, develops and executes data analyses to uncover areas of business opportunity.
SOURCING OPERATIONS SME (IC4)
Reporting to the Executive Leader Sourcing Process & Analytics, the Sourcing Operations SME is responsible for coordinating all the process, elements and resources required for successful implementation of sourcing strategies in compliance to the commercial agreements and internal policies and procedures. The person in this position would be recognized as the sourcing expert for process documentation, creating and maintaining key performance indicators and goals progress tracking. The goal is to be a value-added partner and support to the sourcing team. Responsibilities include implementation of commercial agreements with suppliers, internal alignments to build and follow work plans. Create and track internal and external key performance indicators to adjust and refine plans as needed. In this role, you will be responsible for documenting and improving the sourcing process for our organization, including tracking of the sourcing calendar. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that sourcing activities are aligned with business objectives and delivered on time.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Sourcing Leadership Team to map the vision for the “end-state” process and technology platform for Procurement and identify gaps.
  • Measure and manage supplier performance against contractual obligations and service-level agreements.
  • Prepare and present reports on sourcing activities, supplier performance, captured value and other key performance indicators and metrics.
  • Design and execute sourcing reporting, data, and analytics activities to provide internal and external visibility of performance.
  • Develop and implement sourcing related templates as appropriate.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce costs.
  • Benchmark key aspects of our sourcing process versus industry best practices to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct process mapping to identify process improvement opportunities and lead the development and implementation of any related improvement projects.
  • Drive synergy through process rationalization and standardization, where appropriate.
  • Complete sourcing strategies post-implementation reviews to ensure successful delivery has been achieved, improvements meet business needs, and to ensure that improvements can be made for future projects.
  • Drive best practices, challenge the status quo, and implement change management procedures to enhance the chances of successful projects.
  • Support the execution and analysis as required of the sourcing events and e-Auction processes.
  • Develop and deliver training “owned” by the CoE.
  • Review, evaluate, and develop sourcing processes and procedures to ensure that they are efficient and effective and in compliance with standards, policies, requirements, and regulations.
Category Management
  • Assist the sourcing leadership team in management and tracking of sourcing calendar.
  • Actively participate in cross-functional meetings with various business functions and develop a communication strategy to keep internal clients informed about sourcing processes, supplier strategy, and Key Performance Indicators.
Supplier Management
  • Ensure compliance of pricing and supply agreements terms and conditions, track captured value progress.
  • Participate in business reviews with suppliers to review performance and support mutually agreed upon improvement programs as required.
  • Measure supplier relationships indicators with focus on supply risk management, contract risk management and cost management.
  • Support ad-hoc reporting needs including supplier scorecards and other reporting.
Contract Management
  • Ensure pricing & deliverables as negotiated are included in the contract; coordinate comparison of proposals and final contract terms.
  • Evaluate processes and recommend improvements to standardize lifecycle contract management and compliance to sourcing calendar.
  • Provide timely updates, KPIs reporting and address any issues quickly.
Communication Skills
  • Ability to present to internal stakeholders and articulate strategies and performance metrics.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and analytical skills required.

What You'll Need
  • Experience with sourcing tools (i.e. Coupa, Workday, Ariba)
  • Ability to work well in a high-pace dynamic environment, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and ensure task completion and deadlines are met as required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • BA/BS degree + 2 years of experience in sourcing/procurement tactical operations.
