The Business Analyst is responsible for overseeing and supporting the business analysis, project documentation, stakeholder relationship, and commitment to DataHouse project delivery. They are the primary project interface to our clients and exemplify our value-centric, people-focused approach to partnering with our clients and community.
*This position can be based from a home office in the US, or at our beautiful headquarters in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Travel will be expected either to our headquarters and/or client and partner offices.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties
- Creates and executes test plans to ensure that the functional and business requirements are met by the proposed solution
- Analyze client needs and the process clients go through to interact with the business to increase the effectiveness of process flow
- Documents and defines processes, eliminating activities that don't add value and straightening out the flow of the activities
- Performs the key role in analysis and documents business processes leading to process change and/or system implementation
- Acts as intermediary between IT and the business users while following the implementation strategy with respect to getting stakeholder buy-in and support
- Works with end-user groups to assist with aligning IT to the department's business goals, conducts feasibility studies to define the purpose, functions and overall structure of business processes
- Works with the technical team to ensure business processes and requirements are properly represented in the development and/or maintenance of software and/or system/application architecture
- Will be nvolved in Business Process Management
- Translates user requirements into software requirements that IT can then use to develop software
- Acts as a catalyst to implement strategic and tactical change for the business
Qualifications
- 2+ years Data/Business Analysis experience
- 2+ years IT industry experience
- Strong communication skills, proven experience acting as an intermediary between client and business
- Ability to be agile and adapt to change in a dynamic environment
- Ability to promote process improvement
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience required
- Ability to maintain a strong business sense while applying analytical and problem-solving skills to help maximize the business value of IT
- Full technical knowledge of system analysis phases with the ability to consider the implications of the application of IT to the business environment
