Barrett Media is looking for a creative, passionate, organized, and hard working Editor and Writer to strengthen our online coverage of the broadcasting business. In this role, you will help guide our daily content strategy, long-term planning, and work with our talented writing teams.

The selected individual will possess a strong interest in news/talk radio and television, be capable of writing compelling stories & headlines while meeting deadlines, understand social media and SEO, and be able to perform at a high level in a remote setting. You should be a self-starter with a strong work ethic, an exceptional writer and editor, capable of multi-tasking, and a relationship builder as this position involves talking to people on our team and across the media industry.

This FT opportunity involves listening to news/talk radio shows, watching political TV programs, and reading websites, social media, and press releases to find and create original content. You'll also interact regularly with our social media director, and report to Barrett Media president Jason Barrett.

Please understand that we cover the RADIO and TELEVISION business. This position involves writing, reporting and telling stories about news/talk and sports/talk broadcasters, brands, and industry issues, NOT the world of sports or politics/news.
