Bookkeeper-Ap Part-Time Seasonal Jobs

Primary duties include production of payroll, entry of cash receipts, and all aspects of customer service.

• Serve as back up to payroll.
• Assist with document preparation for audits and year-end tax filings.
• Handle journal entries, bank reconciliations.
• Other duties as assigned and qualified for, as determined by management
• Transfer funds as needed between bank accounts
• Prepare deposits.
• Customer service including collection calls on past due accounts
• Assist AP with duties as assigned.
• Print client statements, review, and stuff in envelopes to be mailed
• Enter customer payments, apply to invoices, and identify discrepancies
• Prepare 401K Employee Eligibility for the Fiscal Year & upload to AVA’s Plan Sponsorship Website
• Produce and file quarterly tax return
• Prepare employee 401K PR contributions in Excel and approve.

• BA Degree in Accounting or equivalent certificate
• Performs and manages multiple tasks efficiently, precisely, and safely
• Ability to work in a fast paced – multi cultural environment
• Excellent typing skills – 45+ WPM, 10-Key by touch
• Strong Microsoft Office Skills – Excel, Word, Outlook, etc. required
• Ability to reconcile complex issues
• Agricultural or science background preferred
• Work independently with general supervision, be a team player, and be willing to contribute beyond the defined role to meet business needs as circumstances require
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures
• Ability to read poor handwriting
• Five years of experience in AR, AP, and payroll
• Good communication, excellent organizational skills, and detail oriented
• Ability to be flexible to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Experience in Sage 100 software – or similar – preferred
• Positive attitude and work ethic

Valid CA drivers license and a good driving record are required
