Overview

• Skillsoft is currently seeking a talented Billing Analyst to join our Billing Department. The primary role of the Billing Analyst is to provide day-to-day execution of assigned billing, invoicing and reconciliation activities related to our training deliveries and subscription offers. This position requires the ability to work independently within established parameters while providing timely and thorough communication with internal departments, cross-functional and sales teams. The successful candidate is expected to ensure compliance with all policies and procedures including financial, business, revenue recognition and Sarbanes-Oxley.

The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams regarding accurate documentation of billing processes/procedures, trends, account maintenance, data validation, order management, accounts receivable/collections and customer support.
HIGHLIGHTS

• Documents and executes the billing process for assigned key vendors, partners and customer programs and engagements.
• Review data entered in financial system for accuracy in matching the written contract; More specifically, pricing, products, start dates and end dates.
• Documents, reconciles, and reports on all assigned billing accounts on a weekly and monthly basis.
• Engages with AR and cash applications team to ensure that cash is applied in an accurate and timely manner to all invoices billed.
• Ensure Billing is compliant with audit guidelines and Sarbanes-Oxley.
• Prepares and issues invoices to customers, partners and vendors (e.g. via portal and/or email)
• Executes billing activities with accuracy & timeliness (e.g. understands and thrives on the time sensitive nature of billing
• Other duties as assigned.
• Research and resolve billing issues that arise from Accounts Receivable, Contract Specialists, Sales Representatives, Tax, and customers in a timely manner.
• Maintains an audit trail of the entire billing process (e.g. sending invoices details, cash collections related to invoices, etc.)
• Ensure invoices meet customer requirements (i.e. online invoicing, tax exemption, correct bill to/ship to address, and purchase order) and are delivered to the customer in a timely manner.

Skills & Qualifications

• Five (5) + years - experience within the order entry and billing/invoicing functions preferred.
• Innovative Thinking – Embraces and champions new ideas and encourages others to do likewise.
• Skilled in billing, reconciliation, reporting, and analysis
• Five (5) + years - Revenue cycle end to end experience preferred.
• Ability to engage with senior/middle management level
• Experience with major ERP system (Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, etc.)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Associates/Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience preferred
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Collaboration – Works well with other internal departments and customers to ensure billing accuracy. Conveys a high-level of concern for all employees, while helping to ensure that both their needs and those of the organization are met.
• Organizational and time-management skills
• Proficient in Windows and MS Office (especially Excel)
• Initiative – Recognizes opportunities and initiates actions to capitalize on them by looking for new and productive ways to make an impact.
• Customer Focused – Personally demonstrates that both external and internal customers are a high priority by identifying and responding to their needs in a timely and efficient manner.

Target base salary range for this job requisition is anticipated to be $44,730 to $67,096 annualized.
We offer full benefits. The company may modify salaries, salary ranges and/or Pay Plans from time to time as it deems necessary.
