Accounting Analyst/ Senior Accounting Analyst

This is a full-time, exempt level position.

Position Summary:

Senior Accountant/Accounting Analysts at ADM have proven ability to think and work independently. They possess the ability to identify problems or opportunities for improvement and regularly propose solutions to problems. Senior Accountant/Analysts are expected to independently manage projects of increasing complexity and have a strong understanding of accounting systems and processes. They must demonstrate a high level of self-confidence in dealing with management at various levels and various administrative, commercial, and operations areas, as applicable. They should be considered an expert in assigned areas and have demonstrated ability to see projects through to completion. Senior Accountant/Analysts have no direct supervisory responsibilities but do serve as a coach and mentor for those in the Accountant and Clerk roles.

Responsibilities:

• Work independently with little supervisor intervention
• Complete annual review/revision of Key Financial Controls (SOX requirements) and process flows and work to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of internal controls
• Work with relevant business partners to provide insight and analysis into financial results
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and/or supporting schedules
• Complete monthly accounting work per US GAAP guidelines and perform relevant analysis
• Engage proactively in the design and implementation of process change.
• Monitoring and reconciling of warehouse inventory reconciliations
• Perform quarterly analysis and reporting

Required Skills:

• Financial Analysis and operations
• Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong inventory reconciliation experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
• Designing Queries and Reports using Financial Systems
• Knowledge of Internal Controls
• Knowledge of Governance, Risk and Compliance

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting

Experience:

• Experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and large ERP systems a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• 1+ years of accounting experience

Physical Requirements:

• Standard office safety regulations
• Ability to safely and successful perform the essential job functions consistent with qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
