Bank Secrecy Act (Bsa) Specialist (Part-Time)

Schedule: Part-time

Hours/Pay Period: 40

Days of Work: 3 days per week with an occasional Saturday morning rotation (approx. one every six weeks)

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Salary range minimum: $22.26 per hour

Licensure/Certification Required: None. Industry recognized BSA related certification is desirable.

Job Summary

The Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Specialist assists in the fight against money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, and other illicit crime by providing support in executing the Credit Unions program of compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act. Duties of this position include, but are not limited to: reviewing various systems, reports, and data for accuracy and suspicious activity; supporting the investigation, documentation, and reporting of suspicious activity; and maintaining accurate documentation and procedures as well as ensuring employee training is completed in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

Education and Experience Requirements

High school diploma and at least 3 years of financial institution experience.

OR

An Associate degree and at least 1 year of financial institution experience.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.

Desirable Qualifications

Experience in a financial institution performing duties specific to BSA or high-risk account monitoring.

Industry recognized BSA related certification or desire to obtain.

All employees must be bondable by MEFCU’s insurance policy. Continued employment is subject to maintaining favorable bondable status per insurance standards.
