Summary

The Opportunity

The Associate Vice President of Select serves as a leader, mentor, brand resource, and innovator, with responsibility for top-line revenue. The AVP of Commercial Services displays an excellent strategic vision to drive top-line performance through collaboration and accountability with key stakeholders. Building relationships and creating value for Owners, Operators, and Hotel Leadership is a critical aspect of their role.

Working with internal stakeholders across Commercial Services and Operations teams to enhance communication and create topline business strategies to drive results for the portfolio. Through leadership oversight and performance accountability, the AVP is responsible for scaling resources across the division. The Role

In this role, you will

  • Support the Franchise Owners to achieve their goals, by working with the operator and holding them accountable to engaging in Hyatt resources. Make strategic suggestions for improvement or adjustments needed to ensure top-line revenue and maximum profitability.
  • Provide Corporate office and SVP - Field Operations with sales support and expertise on assigned hotels and functional expertise List several, but not an exhaustive list.
  • Act as advocate and conduit between Corporate and hotel leadership/ownership/operators to execute corporate revenue generation initiatives and handle sales opportunities to participate in Hyatt’s Diversity and inclusion activities.
  • Actively reevaluate and adjust how Hyatt works to create scalable tools and resources to support revenue generation.

Qualifications

Experience Required:

  • Minimum 10 years of hotel experience including sales with select hotels
  • Minimum of 5 years director of sales experience in select service hotels
  • Strong knowledge of transient, group, and leisure segments
  • Strong knowledge of all commercial services disciplines
  • Multiple hotel/brand/regional experience is a plus
  • Franchise experience above property or at another brand

Experience Preferred:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Sales, or Business required
  • Envision, ThoughtSpot, Ideas, Tableau, Cvent, and Travelclick experience a plus
