We are currently looking to expand our technology department with a bright, passionate, and motivated Systems Engineer. They will ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the organization's information systems that support core functions. They will assist in systems modeling, analysis, planning, and vendor coordination on new and existing IT Infrastructure projects. Essential Job Duties Develop and maintain comprehensive systems architectures, frameworks and application interfaces in a Windows Server 2008+ environment. Performs system monitoring to ensure the integrity and availability of all IT server resources, reviewing system and application logs. Add and configure new services and hardware as required in support of break-fix activities or system projects. Performs after-hours system support during scheduled and unscheduled outages and standard monthly patching requirements. Works with IT staff and management to develop and maintain company technical processes and standards (ITIL based). Creates and/or reviews and approves vendor technical designs for conformance to standards and architectural requirements. Provides consultation and assists project teams in formulating solutions; performs requirements analysis. Proactively conducts technical research and development activities to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. Participate in the IT Change Management and Asset Management processes. Required Qualifications Minimum of 7-10 years' experience in system administration, network design and implementation with 3-5 years in a Global/Enterprise environment. Solid understanding of Virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V) and associated hardware. Solid experience in deploying and supporting a Microsoft Server 2008 R2 environment and associated services; Enterprise management of Microsoft Active Directory including: policy based administration (Group Policy, GPO), Security Group Management, and domain trusts management. Solid experience in deploying and maintaining DHCP and DNS services. Solid knowledge and understanding of ITIL concepts such as Service Desk, Incident Management and Change Management. Solid experience in deploying and managing Microsoft Exchange and/or Office 365/Google mail. Strong knowledge of common desktop enterprise applications (Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook E-Mail). Strong knowledge in deploying and managing server and client software based VPN technologies (preferred Citrix XenDesktop/XenApp/XenServer). Experience in vendor management and contract negotiation. Experience in enforcing security policies via firewall and/or proxy server. Experience in deploying and managing VoIP technologies. Experience in deploying and managing enterprise anti-virus solutions. Must be able to perform under tight timeframes and execute problem solving skills. Self-motivated individual with the ability to work individually or in a team environment Ability to travel throughout the US, Canada and the UK up to 25% of the time. Ability to be on-call every third week and be available by phone 24x7. Intrapersonal and Organizational Pays attention to detail, has a strong work ethic, and possesses the ability to work independently or as part of a group. Excellent time-management skills with the ability to independently manage assigned tasks and develop written work plans. Excellent critical thinking skills; uses logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills. Must be able to effectively manage ambiguity, change and conflict. Ability to effectively prioritize in high pressure situations, strong project leadership and support skills. Preferred Qualifications PMP, CISSP Low voltage installation and certification experience. Experience in IT hardware/software forecasting and budgeting. Experience in cloud or hosted applications (SaaS). Education Bachelor degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics or related discipline required. MCSE or comparable certification.
