Autocad Drafter Jobs

This person will be responsible for receiving custom drawings from field personnel. Upon receipt to design, draw, and create custom flat dimensional (CAD) drawings as requested. This position will require communication and coordination with field personnel to create drawing of custom product.

Technical Responsibilities of the Job

• Knowledge of Outlook and Windows file management (i.e. locate files on the network using Windows Explorer)
• Read, comprehend, write, communicate with field personnel regarding custom design request faxed in.
• Comply with safety recommendations and requirements; maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
• Mechanical aptitude, preferably in sheet metal.
• Ability to visualize custom drawing and design flat pattern layout
• Windows file management skills. (i.e. locate files on the network using Window Explorer)
• Knowledge of tape measurement system
• Good sheet metal background, knowledge of flat pattern layout.
• Understanding of mathematical concepts such as formulas, degree, radius
• Ability to visualize custom drawing and design the 2D layout using computer aided drafting (CAD) software.
• Follow pre-defined operational procedures to ensure requested drawings meet quality standards.
• Must be able to read/comprehend, write, communicate orally, reason, and analyze information.
• Compute and analyze using mathematical concept such as formulas, degree, radius, standard measurements.
• Organize drawings using Windows file management function.
• Basic knowledge of Outlook for sending and receiving email.

Education

• High school education and / or significant related experience. And / or experience and / or equivalent, combination of education and experience with at least 6 months experience in any 2D CAD (computer aided drafting) system. I.e. AutoCAD 2000/2004.
