Job Description
Job Summary
As part of the Walgreens Media team, leads and supports paid search engine marketing campaigns that help drive customer acquisition. Helps shape the Walgreens business across retail and pharmacy efforts. Monitors and analyzes web analytics and campaign performance. Defines campaign budgets, aligns campaign goals, and ensures adherence to search optimization principles. Identifies and presents new avenues of paid advertising to clients. Partners with other Marketing areas including marketing and creative strategy, content creation, digital marketing, social media, and digital analytics to produce optimum results.
Job Responsibilities
  • Performs as Paid Search subject matter expert able to meet deadlines, present opportunities, and analyze results in an agile environment.
  • Monitors strategies across paid search landscape which includes campaign structure, keyword recommendations, and ad copy; recommends and implements adjustments.
  • Develops and executes a measurement plan, aspects of which include interpreting results and analyzing data, presenting results to cross functional teams, and identifying opportunities for innovation.
  • Contributes to planning and implementing a broad range of Paid Search tactics, including but not limited to text ads, shopping ads, Google Local and/or Discovery Ads to meet Marketing objectives.
  • Shares subject matter expertise to less experienced team members. May participate in teaching and training members of the work team.
  • Ensures that issues in assigned campaigns are tracked, summarized and presented to manager along with proposed solutions.
  • Develops and executes paid search marketing campaigns designed to enhance/maximize consumer awareness and support specified initiatives.
  • Anticipates, prevents, and escalates problems and roadblocks before they occur.
  • Develops tactical plans and leads tactical campaign executions.
  • Identifies and establishes relationships with internal partners such as brand marketing, media planners, etc. and external partners such as Google, Microsoft, etc.
  • Shares information cross-functionally to improve workflow processes. Interacts with internal and external team members and management to share highly complex information related to areas of expertise and/or to gain acceptance of new or enhanced business solutions.
  • Prepares campaign program budgets and forecasts.

Basic Qualifications
  • Experience establishing and maintaining relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization, in the business community and with vendors.
  • Experience presenting information and recommendations virtually to a broad group of stakeholders.
  • Experience working with cross functional teams and being agile with recommendations.
  • Experience identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
  • Experience analyzing and reporting data to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions.
  • Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.
  • Experience working independently for projects and deliverables daily.
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of experience in Merchandising, Marketing, eCommerce, Strategy, Healthcare, and Analytics, Finance and/or Operations OR High school / GED and at least 5 years of experience in Merchandising, Marketing, eCommerce, Strategy, Healthcare, and Analytics,
  • Willing to travel up to/at least 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
  • Experience with project management (for example: planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives).
  • Highly proficient in campaign management using platforms such as Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, SA360
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience developing and delivering presentations to various audience levels within an organization
  • Experience working on cross-channel programs for paid search, paid social, affiliate, or programmatic
  • Experience working in the digital space
