The Big Picture:

Mortenson seeks an Associate Learning and Development Specialist to join the Talent Management team. The Associate Learning and Development Specialist will provide administrative support, communication, logistical oversight, and event and project planning for all leadership, learning, and culture development initiatives and events. This role will actively contribute to the positive and energetic culture of the organization and the combined Leadership Development & Learning teams.

What will you be doing?

  • Manage department SharePoint sites.
  • Actively contribute to the vision of our team by generating solutions and ideas that support our goal of providing best-in-class experiences that connect to business outcomes and drive our culture.
  • Provide creative and technical support for online learning experiences that help to scale development across the organization.
  • Manage distribution lists for key stakeholder groups to ensure alignment and accuracy.
  • Support the organization’s efforts around organizational culture, including diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.
  • Track success metrics including surveys, assessment data, participation, and engagement reports.
  • Manage logistics and scheduling for internal blog series.
  • Coordinate and administer personality assessments including communication, scheduling, reports, and logistics.
  • Develop and manage relationships with cross-functional departments and stakeholders to support Leadership Development and L&D’s ability to collaborate and influence across the organization.
  • Serve as HR training coordinator including managing HR Team Member learning activities to completion and running learning dashboard reports.
  • Manage planning, logistics, scheduling, and event coordination for all learning and leader development programming.

Education, Experience, Requirements:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, with a proficiency in OneNote, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Bachelor’s degree or years of applicable experience in Business, Project Management, Human Resources Development, Industrial Organizational. Psychology, Organizational Development, Organizational Change Management, or related field
  • Minimum two to five years of experience in a related field.

Basic Requirements:

  • Ability to manage a variety of projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, while remaining flexible and adapting to shifting business needs.
  • Solid technical aptitude with the ability to learn new software quickly (e.g., Learning Management System, Power BI, SharePoint)
  • Ability to think critically and work independently, when necessary.
  • Strong work and personal ethics, planning and organizational skills, & attention to detail.
  • Team and customer service orientation with ability to collaborate in a cross-functional team with direct and dotted line reporting structure.
  • Well-developed listening, communication, and decision-making skills with the ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences.
  • Demonstrated end-to-end accountability.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and OneNote.
