Job Description

CrossCountry partners with growing companies to transform their financial accounting experience by leveraging solutions in close management and accounting. We provide the highest level of service and expertise for our customers’ implementation, enhancement projects, and post-production support needs.


Responsibilities


  • Opportunities to support various Business Transformation projects including (but not limited to): system strategy and selection, process or finance improvement and optimization, operations performance improvement, change management, program or project management, data analytics, business analysis
  • Assists with integrations and identifying efficiencies between the client’s accounting systems and other tools.
  • Holds team accountable and drives change through effective project management
  • Proactively partners with CrossCountry Consulting’s leadership team on internal projects, including but not limited to the following: sales/marketing initiatives, recruiting, training, and organizational development
  • Optimization of client’s use of leading close management process and tools
  • Helps to identify, assess, and analyze business challenges within the Finance and Accounting organization requiring in-depth evaluation of variable factors
  • Contributes knowledge and best practices of key accounting related business processes (e.g., Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Financial Close, etc.)
  • Assesses and escalates project issues, risks, or conflicts to leadership and suggests resolutions
  • Reviews clients’ current close documentation and engages the close team, defines future state process, and advises on best practices for close management

  • Additional experience in one or more of the following areas: accounting (e.g., financial reporting, operational accounting, accounting policy, transactions, etc.), business transformation (e.g., process optimization, finance transformation, change management, operations and performance improvement, project management, etc.)
  • Experience using a Financial System and/or designing and facilitating setup and configuration of one or more modules (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, Procurement, Expenses)
  • Finance or accounting background with knowledge of General Ledger and Sub-ledger concepts preferred (e.g., Chart of Accounts, Journal Entries, Intercompany transfers and allocations, AP, AR, trial balance data, General Ledger, Procurement, and Asset Management)
  • Demonstrated track record of establishing credibility both internally and externally
  • 10+ years’ experience previously working in a professional services firm or related experience working in a corporate accounting role.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to think from a “big picture” perspective
  • High energy, enthusiasm, and an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Experience developing and formatting data to meet export/import require­ments as defined by system rules
Education:


  • CPA preferred, or CPA eligible
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Accounting, Business, Finance, Information Systems, Information Technology, or other technical discipline
