Essential Functions and Other Job Information:
Essential Functions
- Proposes process improvements and executes optimization opportunities.
- Creates support/training documents for external and internal stakeholders.
- Trains on new technologies and tools that are related to job duties.
- Delivers projects on a technical and coordination level within the functional department.
- Assesses new and emerging technologies and productivity tools for suitability within the organization on an occasional basis.
- Conducts root cause analysis, diagnostics, and investigation to support problem management. Monitors tools, systems, and data to maintain maximum performance levels.
- Provides expertise and knowledge as technical support Subject Matter Expert (SME).
- Communicates project status and updates with internal and external stakeholders.
- Troubleshoots and resolves basic application-specific support issues.
- Executes change requests and qualifications.
- Liaises with other internal groups and vendors.
- Works with IT, internal colleagues, and external vendors to research and troubleshoot as well as strategize and execute solutions.
Job Complexity
- Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
Job Knowledge
- Developing professional expertise, applies company policies, and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
Supervision Received
- Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
Business Relationship
- Contacts are primarily internal to the company with external customer / vendor contact on routine matters. Builds productive internal / external working relationships.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic /vocational qualification.
Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 1 to 2 years’) or equivalent combination of education, training, & experience.
Years of experience refers to typical years of related experience needed to gain the required knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the essential functions of the job. Years of experience are not to be used as the only determining factor in establishing the job class or making employment selection decisions.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Advanced customer service skills and communication skills.
- Ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (includes finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events).
- Ability to communicate information and ideas effectively and adhere to timelines.
- Ability to act as a Subject Matter Expert and resource to other employees.
- Able to handle multiple projects, pay close attention to detail, and have good time management skills.
- Ability to interact with relational databases at a basic level.
- Basic understanding of system development life cycle and requirements methodology.
- Planning and organizational skills.
- Basic problem solving and analytical skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products to conduct problem management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Business skills including the following: documentation, presentation, interpersonal, and communication.
- Ability to work well independently and follow-through.
- Basic understanding of requirement gathering methodologies and best practices; as well as project management methodologies.
- Ability to learn company systems quickly; especially how those systems interact/affect other systems and the patient pathway/patient experience.
Management Role:
- No management responsibility initially but potential in the future as team expands
