Associate attorney needed for litigation firm representing local governments in Texas. Litigation experience preferred but newly licensed attorneys should also apply. Compensation is hourly and commensurate with experience. Extensive travel, almost exclusively within Texas. A Texas law license is required, or at least the candidate should be sitting for the Texas Bar soon. Self-motivation, strong interest in litigation, and ethical commitment are required. Strong writing and legal analysis is needed. Persons wishing to be on a partnership track are preferred. Positive working environment and mentoring are provided. Much of the litigation concerns value of property for property tax purposes. It is a fairly intellectual practice. Demanding hours are inherent in litigation, but having a balanced life is our goal. Health insurance for all employees and their families is provided at no charge. A 401(k) plan with some matching is also available. Other benefits are available on an elective and fee basis.
The job location is listed as Cedar Park, Texas. But, we also have an office at 4225 South Mopac, Austin, which is a possible location for the job.

Currently, clerical staff has the option to work remotely. Many depositions are by Zoom. Clients seldom come to the office. The posted position, however, needs to be in office.
