Associate Attorney Jobs

We are a people centric growing Immigration Law Firm, looking for a self motivated associate attorney to grow with the firm. Our goal is to create the type of firm we wish we could see in the world, one that focuses on taking care of its clients while also recognizing that employees need to be prioritized and empowered first in order to be able to provide the best services.

Our ideal associate will provide a broad spectrum of immigration legal services under the supervision of the managing attorney. Specifically, they will oversee cases that are before immigration court, as well as USCIS; assist with drafting legal briefs and arguments; and assisting with consultations for new clients. Experience working on immigration cases in the past is a plus but not required (we will train the right candidate).

Responsibilities

• Type up and file basic legal documents and correspondence including motions with the immigration court;
• Work directly with the Attorney and clients to prepare applications, and documents for filing with Government agencies;
• Attending court hearings and USCIS interviews;
• Answer, direct, and return phone calls from existing clients;
• Maintain an up to date case list;
• Monitor deadlines and maintain court calendars;
• Locate and develop case relevant information;

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic Computer literacy (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.);
• Must be licensed and in good standing in any U.S. jurisdiction. (Or have sat for the most recent bar exam). Texas licensure is a plus;
• Bilingual (Spanish and English) is prefered
• Strong legal knowledge
• Juris Doctor;
• Customer service oriented;
• Excellent organisational skills;
