Assistant/Associate Professor Jobs

The Department of Biological and Environmental Science at Troy University
invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant/ Associate
Professor level beginning August 2023. Rank and tenure status at time of appointment
will depend on qualifications.
We seek a broadly-trained, highly motivated biologist that demonstrates teaching and
research excellence, is committed to the development of our students, and compliments
current Departmental strengths. Teaching responsibilities may include lecture and
laboratory courses in Human Anatomy and Physiology, Cell Biology, Mammalogy, and/or
upper-level courses in the candidate’s area of expertise. The candidate will be expected
to develop an independent research program, to include undergraduate and graduate
student involvement and mentorship. Other job duties will include maintaining current
knowledge in the profession and participating in all aspects of the Department’s daily
operation, including service on Departmental and University committees. The teaching
load is 12 contact hours per semester.

The position requires a Ph.D in a relevant biological discipline and a
commitment to excellence in teaching and research. Prior teaching
experience at the college level is preferred.
