PERCEPTION PR seeks an exceptional individual to join our team as an Assistant, Publicity + Awards. Pending experience level, a coordinator title will also be considered.


We are seeking a highly motivated, dedicated and detailed-oriented person who excels at written and oral communication to assist a busy team that is working remotely. Job responsibilities include gathering and distributing breaks, database management, research and more. You’re the kind of person that can have a bunch of balls in the air at the same time and make it all look easy. A steadfast problem-solver with a keen work ethic, a great sense of humor and a self-starter are the qualities we’re seeking in the ideal candidate. This is a fast-paced job and may require longer hours and work commitments on some nights and weekends. For the right person with passion, drive and an eagerness to get in the game with a great team and a lot of access, the work will be exciting, educational and fulfilling with room for future growth at the company.


Candidates must be based in Los Angeles or New York (NYC) and should be prepared to work from 9am - 6pm Monday through Friday, as well as some nights and weekends. We currently work remotely.There will be an in-person component by attending screenings, events, interviews and other client-related and industry events. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Assist in organizing and execution of screening events, including Q&A’s and panels
  • List building
  • Assist in organizing and execution of PR events
  • Assist in the coordination of mailings and e-blasts on behalf of clients
  • Research
  • Participate in brainstorming and planning meetings
  • Track and manage DCP requests and deliveries for screenings
  • Create and maintain various schedules, calendars and reports
  • Gather and service breaks to clients
  • Database updates
  • Update key documents and calendars
  • Track and manage RSVPs for various events as directed


Requirements:

  • Able to handle fast-paced PR environment
  • Able to work well under pressure and take direction well
  • Able to handle our clients’ confidential information, issues and matters in a sensitive manner with the highest level of professionalism and loyalty (this job requires you to sign a non-disclosure agreement which applies not only to company matters but to clients’ matters as well)
  • Understanding of basic PR and marketing concepts and practices
  • Able to balance strong attention to detail and urgency
  • Self-starter, able to work independently as well as in teams
  • Strong ability to prioritize, solve problems and be resourceful
  • Must have strong writing, research and organizational skills
