At Weller, we have a key contributor, full-time position available. The Assistant Property Manager Bilingual (Spanish) supports the overall administration of the community including resident customer service, occupancy, resident retention, move-in and move-out scheduling, vendor coordination, resident events as well as engagement with maintenance team. Utilizes bilingual abilities supports prospects and residents in a comfortable, engaging environment throughout the process and as needed. At times, responsible for full property management and guidance in the absence of the Property Manager.


This position has a regular schedule that at times may include evenings, nights and weekends. Physical requirements include sitting for long periods and at times required to walk to show units, climb stairs, move about including stooping, bending and other physical requirements as detailed in the job description.


Skills


Building a strong cohesive daytime family, this key contributor will apply solid skills and experience in this hands-on role to include


  • Schedules and conducts recertifications; prepares and processes required forms; ensure accuracy of information; updates records with new information; prepares reports related to completed recertification.
  • Maintains an onsite presence, fully engaging and is readily available to staff, residents and guests during established business hours and as needed to include events and/or weekends.
  • Processing applications, conducting credit checks, and negotiating contracts.
  • Addressing and resolving residents' questions, concerns, and complaints in a timely manner.
  • Creating and distributing marketing materials to attract new tenants.
  • Preparing and schedule property viewings, conducting property tours and interviewing prospective tenants.
  • Managing budgets, accounts, rent collections, and tenant notices.
  • Inspecting property conditions and coordinating maintenance activities.
  • Professionally and in a welcoming manner greets residents, applicants and all others in a courteous and respectful manner.


The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:


  • Must be able to pass background check and drug testing.
  • Excellent management and communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field preferred; high school education or equivalent is required.
  • Possess the ability to read and write English fluently, and to accurately perform basic to intermediate mathematical functions.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, current automobile insurance and reliable transportation.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills with excellence in time management.
  • Solid computer skills, including working knowledge of MS Office Suite to include Teams, Word and Excel. Yardi Property Management Software experience preferred.
  • Present a positive and professional image, supporting a strong customer service orientation.
  • A minimum of one-year residential leasing and/or management experience required.
  • Ability to effectively, professionally sell and close a sale.
  • Professional level written and oral communication skills required.
  • Knowledge of on-site maintenance requirements including dealing with vendors and contractors.
