Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Job Summary
Under the direction of the Superintendent and with supervision of the Principal, organize, coordinate
and administer assigned programs and activities related to student discipline, attendance and
instruction at an assigned school; assist the Principal with administrative duties involving student
conduct, curriculum development and school plant operations as assigned; assure compliance with
district, county, state and federal policies, regulations and guidelines; supervise and evaluate the
performance of assigned personnel.
Essential Functions
  • Plan, organize, coordinate and participate in programs and activities related to the operation of an
assigned school, including instruction, student discipline and other programs; assure compliance
with district, county, state and federal policies, regulations and guidelines as they relate to the instru
enforce applicable State and local codes, policies and laws; administer discipline policies and safety
programs.
  • Perform a variety of administrative duties to assist the Principal in managing the school; assume the
duties of the assigned Principal in his or her absence; assist with developing and monitoring the
school budget and a variety of school schedules.
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of designated personnel; monitor staff attendance and
performance; assign duties to faculty and staff as appropriate to meet school objectives; assist with
recruiting, interviewing and selecting new faculty and staff.
  • Develop and administer disciplinary procedures in accordance with policies and State laws; receive
referrals and confer with students, parents, teachers and community agencies; establish and
maintain guidelines for proper student conduct.
  • Respond to and resolve parent, student and staff complaints; assure proper and timely resolution of
student, administrative, parent, staff, faculty and public issues, conflicts and complaints; monitor,
analyze and adjust activities in response to student needs and progress.
  • Supervise students on campus before and after school; monitor students during lunch, recess and
other activities; discipline students according to established guidelines; enforce expectations for
safe behaviors of drivers in an assigned school parking lot.
  • Establish, coordinate and maintain communication with parents, community members, interested
stakeholders and outside organizations.
  • Provide direction to a variety of faculty, staff and student programs and services; participate in
informal and formal classroom visitations and observations; provide recommendations and
suggestions as appropriate.
  • Monitor and evaluate programs and services for the supervision, safety and security of students,
buildings and campus grounds.
  • Prepare and maintain a variety of County, State and other Federally-mandated records and reports
regarding student attendance, discipline, cumulative records and academic achievement; assure
mandated reports are completed and submitted to appropriate agency in accordance with
established time lines and requirements.
  • Enforce applicable State and District codes, policies and laws; oversee the administration of site
discipline and intervention policies and procedures.
  • Supervise, schedule and organize student activities, extra-curricular activities and athletic events;
attend a variety of school events including athletic events, dances and other special events; assure
the health, safety and welfare of students.
  • Confer with students, parents, teachers, law enforcement and social welfare agencies to address
and resolve student academic and behavioral issues.
  • Coordinate, conduct, and attend a variety of meetings; present materials and information
concerning school operations and related issues, needs and activities; prepare meeting agendas
and materials; participate on assigned committees; plan, promote and organize school events.
  • Operate a variety of office equipment including a computer and assigned software; drive a vehicle to
conduct work.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education And Experience
Any combination equivalent to: Master’s degree in administration or related field and three years of
classroom teaching experience.
Licenses And Other Requirements
  • Valid California Class C driver’s license and current auto insurance.
  • Valid California Administrative Services Credential.
  • Valid California Teaching Credential.
