Job Description

Join an innovative powerhouse team as the Assistant Plant Manager with a nationwide company, where you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the daily operations and routine maintenance of energy-related equipment within a state-of-the-art cogeneration powerhouse located in beautiful Tennessee!


Drive Excellence & Safety

  • Maintain plant efficiency & reliability; establish equipment performance inspection schedule
  • Ensure the safe operation of all utility and energy-related equipment
  • Coordinate and manage the day-to-day activities within the powerhouse (i.e. safety, environmental compliance, plant efficiency, etc.)
  • Oversee all operations & maintenance activities


Safety First, Compliance Always!

  • Ensure plant safety and comply with all local, state & federal regulations


Lead, Train & Inspire!

  • Assist with hiring efforts
  • Coordinate plant training & new employee orientation
  • Contribute to the growth & development of your team!


Requirements:

  • Utilities & plant equipment experience (hot water, chilled water, cooling water, air compressor, water treatment systems, PLC controls, medium voltage etc.)
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • 8+ years of relevant O&M experience
  • Power generation experience (i.e. cogeneration, gas turbine, electrical generation, steam boiler, HRSGs etc.)
  • Experience supervising a Union workforce is a plus!
